If he is not supportive, when you have problems next time in the new job and you grumble/complain to him, what would he say/do? "I told you so" or "Poor thing"?
Whichever would be his likely answer, make sure you can take it lor. Don't this become a sore point. Cos problems at work will sure to arise.
