SHABU BU BU

u know, i have been watching japan hour since my schooling days
and i am always very fascinated by the hot spring and the food which were intro in the show
and its becoz of the show, i wanted to go and experience hot spring in snow, eat the snow crab and most impt of all shabu shabu

i always think tt shabu shabu is very ....hm...i dun know how to explain or use what word to describe abt it
but its like a dream come true if i can eat it one day in japan

until recently, i heard zhuang saying tt there is this jap rest in Iluma selling shabu shabu and its not bad. worth a try
i decided tt i also want to go and try it out, since my gf recommended it

so last sat for dinner, i get to choose what i want to eat
as we dun need to go to our favorite cinema to watch movie, i chose to go iluma
eat and watch and shop there too!!
all under one roof
swee!!!

we made a blunder..or should i said, i made a blunder
we just zoomed into a rest
and when i looked thru the menu no shabu shabu
so i went outside and enquired
and the girl pointed to another girl to entertain me

i requested to take the menu into the rest where dear was waiting for me
and then we placed an order
turned out tt the rest serving the shabu shabu was next door and not in the one we were seated
so quickly, we apologised and went to the correct rest and ordered our shabu shabu
frankly, i was very happy
coz i finally get to eat my shabu shabu

halfway, thru the meal
while looking thru the menu
$18.90 for the basic, add $5 for business and $10 u get to have crab and scallop and sotong and salmon and other food stuff
then it occurred to me "why dun go eat steamboat instead? cheaper lor"
and then it dawned on me "hey! why the shabu shabu is steamboat huh?
and i told dear abt it and he looked at me in the eyes, very seriously told me "its steamboat wat. its japanese steamboat"
kua kua kua

can u believe it!!
my whole world came crushing down onto me
i was so so so sad
why like this!!
"no. shabu shabu is shabu shabu not steamboat lor" i went "japan hour shabu shabu is very nice de. its not steam boat, no no no"
"but it is steamboat. its just tt its japanese steamboat, and they called it shabu shabu"

my heart breaks into thousand and one pcs lor
and i went silence for a min
"dear! not like this de. i feel like i kana cheated u know. cheated all these years by japan hour. i always feel tt shabu shabu is special de. the meat all thin thin de special meat. then all the food they eat very nice de."
then i saw dear busy eating away and u can see tt smile on his face...."i cannot believe u did not know shabu shabu is japanese steamboat" look
wa kao!!
"dear!! why u like tt smile.......its like it come out from ur inner feeling. so real de."
"its steamboat rite? just tt the meat are thinly sliced. u want next time we go cut the meat thin thin, then we boil water on the stove, then we stand there and shabu shabu ok"
"dear, so sad"
"shabu bu bu"dear went.

frankly, seriously, i was very sad........why is it when the truth hits u, its always so sad de........sigh
