TO GIVE OR NOT TO GIVE... give a little something la

recently there was this case about boy no gets his DS coz he did not meet his own expectations for his PSLE results

and then came many comments
some positive and of course negatives one... and obviously when there are positive and negative ones... confirmed would have neutral ones

my humble opinion
1) well, if give the DS, then the child would have the impression "does not matter lor, score or no score well, still will get then why bother"
2) but dun give anything, then like very bad, so still give something but maybe of a lesser value or maybe like go jiak or a day off from tuition, watch tv all u want??!?!?!?
3) dun give also okie bah, coz tts the deal right? U will only get DS if u score 250. the deal did not say less tha 250 u get something else.
the game show, deal or no deal? u got watch right? u either got a deal or end up no deal lor...but u still got something if u no deal....

so really headache to give or not to give...

my cousin also kana similar case bah
but hers was graduation trip
think did not do well and uncle said cannot go

i mean graduation trip leh
sad right
but end up, my cousin got go lor... but it was like after persuasion and convincing uncle to let her go
so i am very sure she appreciated the trip very very much
and also for her hard work and effort she put in...

then reminds me of my own story

so when we went to collect my PSLE results from school
i tell u, when papa and mama saw tt i passed and can continue with my secondary education....
really can see ge HUAT AH faces
haha
and off we went for makan

so i guess i am quite lucky bah
expectations for me is very very low.. can study jiu hao
hehehe

so hm.... no DS then maybe give something to acknowledge the effort???
well...the tough question to give or not to give...
