CAN'T PAY NOT DUN WANT TO PAY

we went shopping to get presents for our muslim colls
bought 12 items from MT and requested for gift wrap
"sure. u can buy our wrappers and we gift wrap for u FOC"
"is it? how much is the wrapper? $0.50 each"
"ok. choose 2 for us and if not enough just take one more we will pay when we come back later"
"sure enough de lah"

off we went to buy 3 more gifts for the colls in our own unit
and we went back to collect the 12 items from MT after an hour
she was wrapping our last present and i went "hey! do u mind wrapping one more item which we bought from another shop?"
"sure no problem. give it to me"
"sure or not? we did not buy from ur shop leh"
"can. no problem. i still have extra gift wrappers from other customers who did not want their spare any more"
"then if i am not asking for too much, do u think u can wrap 2 more for me. so total is 3"
"sure. can. no problem. but can u come back later to collect?"
"hm... ok...." and before we left the shop, i shouted "hey! if ur supervisor got issue abt it coz the gifts not from ur shop, then dun wrap ok. its ok with us de"
and off we went

one hour later we went back
the girl was not ard
but the muslim coll of hers told us tt since the 3 gifts were not from their shop, we have to pay a service charge for wrapping the gift
"how much"
"$2 each. so total $6"
wa kao!! i opened my coin purse and showed her "only $3"
"why dun u go back and take money then come back"
then i buay siong liao
and i went "ur coll told us its ok, can gift wrap coz got extra papers, now u tell me got to pay $6"
"i am sorry, she forgot to tell u. tts why she told me to tell u."
"i dun have the money now, and i dun want to go back and take money and come back"
"but its our co policy. sorry"
"but we were not told. i already told her if she has problem then dun wrap. but now u telling me tt i got to pay $6 for the 3 items"
"ok. i tell u wat. i called my coll ok"

"hello..mumble mumble mumble"
"my coll said she wants to speak to u"
"ok"
i took the phone and after her 1st sentence to me "sorry. i forgot to tell u its our co policy. and my supervisor said must tell u. i thought u gals are in a hurry so i never tell u all. now then tell" i blasted my way out........and she has no chance to say a single word except sorry sorry sorry

"i really can't pay the $6. really. its not i dun want to pay. if u would have told me tt i need to pay $2 each for the item, i rather buy a $0.50 wrapper and i wrap myself. but now i got to pay $6. its really ridiculous"
"sorry sorry. why dun u pay $4. at least pay something"

"the gifts are with ur coll now. she has not pass them to me"

"i am not angry. why dun i pass the phone back to her, u tell her urself and ask her to pass me the gifts"
"ok, u passed the phone back to her. i tell her myself. so sorry, u dun be angry ok"
"i am not angry. dun worry. i just cannot pay the money"
then A told me "why dun we pay $1 instead?"
i signalled to her "we not gg to pay anything. no way"
and she looked at me when i passed the phone back to the muslim coll and she passed me the bag of gifts and i signalled to A to "let's go"

on our way out of the shop, the girl shouted 'my coll asked u not to be angry"
i smiled back and wave my hand.......frankly, i am not angry
i just can't make myself to pay for the $6 bucks
not becoz i cannot afford it, its a matter of principles.........

its not tt i insisted tt she has to gift wrap for me
i asked whether can or not
she said can got extra wrappers
and i even said if her supervisor has any issue with her wrapping outside gifts then dun wrap. its ok
and she took her initiatives and proceeded to gift wrap at my expenses and then ended up instead of just paying $0.50 for one more extra wrapper and i gift wrap myself i got to pay $6!!!
