NOT THE SAME?

ok, maybe it was my fault
he told me to go thru the report and then go see him if got anything to highlight
so i went thru, but did not find anything amiss

he came to me today and asked me abt it
and i reported "ok. nothing big deal"
then he said "ok" and walked away
but i could see tt he has an uneasy look, so i continued "hey! do u think i should drop an email to the team? just to cover tt we have gone thru and commented"
and he immediately agreed to the idea
and he said "u go thru first, then forward to me. i see what else i want to edit"
fine...chicken feet

so i went thru and highlighted those tt i have spotted and already told the team to amend accordingly
and then he came to me 15mins before knock off time
and told me his comments

i scratch a bit of head but i think its ok
as long as if its amended and it made all happy i will just do it, really

but over the phone, while discussing with one of the team member
we were like "got difference huh?"
and i went "i dun think it makes any difference, tts why i did not comment to u in the first place"
"to me, its just the phrasing of the sentence. nothing serious. dun change also ok rite?"
"tts what i think so. but he said to be consistent. so change lor"
"consistent? then how come one report stated "principle work" and the other is "firm requirement"? then follow which one? u follow 1st report then 2nd report dun telly mah. so where is the consistency"
"but the 1st report is ours and the 2nd one is follow template de. so not our fault wat"
"true. u said its template. and u asked me to amend. so i amended but now u said want consistency so where is the consistency?"
"how i know? i just follow. i just do lor. he instructed, so i amend lor"
"then how?"
"i will amend it then send it back and then u just use it lah"
"ok. i will just forward the amended to my boss, but if he commented and want to change then how?
"then let him change lor. at least we advised and did our part"

seriously, principle work is not firm requirment???
to me, its ok leh...acceptable....
coz both also template......and we just follow.....and now got problem....my fault meh???

tts why, dun really like the "need to know, ought to know"
