MISINTERPRETATION

i remembered when i was still in sec school
i told my then bf " i hate him" when he said tt there was this guy who is interested in me. and i just wanted to tell him "i dun like him so no worries"
few days later, he got very upset and when i asked him why he told me "if u hate someone, u dun talk to tt person"
and i was like "huh?"
and he said i told him tt i hate that classmate of ours so why am i still on talking to him
and i was like "arrggghhhhh...."

perhaps my command of english was not strong tt time....(which is still sama sama now) but can't blame me
anyway, i explained tt i dun like him as in bgr but as a friend is still ok
then he told me "then u should use the word DISLIKE and not HATE. hate is such a strong word"
and i was angry at tt time why make such a big fuss afterall i just want to assure him tt i dun like tt classmate of ours

so lesson learnt......
but isn't it the same? i like hate and dislike....

its just like
i want to buy this
i need to buy this
though need is like die die also must have kind of thing
and want is like dun have also won't die kind of thing
but both thing equals to u still want to have tt thing rite?

well.......can only blame myself for not studying hard when i got the chance....

I don't agree. 'want' and 'need' is different. You want something but may not need it eg you want a holiday but may not need it. But if to you it is a matter of will die without it, then it becomes a need. Eg you need air cos without it you will die without it.

I may want a holiday, but i can live without it, so obviously i don't need it right? But for someone who is overstressed and needs a break or else will go crazy or on doctor's orders kind, then the holiday becomes a need, not a want...

My experience with working with your org's internal customer is they often get mixed up between entitlement and priviledge... :P
