SPICY OR NON SPICY

went to this place for dinner
served fish de.....in iluma

anyway, dear loves the seafood platter for 2
and therefore i decided tt that's the diner we shall go
once seated down took ages before someone came to serve us
1 was serving water, the other standing at the stand alone machine dun know keying what
1 behind counter cleaning glasses, 4 behind the cash machine dun know talk what cock.
and tell u, i got to raise my hands up in the air, (imagine u are in school and u raise ur hands to get permission from teacher to go toilet)
and worst, he did not come and served us instead went to the table next to us
arggghhh

anyway, when someone esle came and served us
i ordered the seafood platter for 2
"spicy or non spicy, madam"
"non spicy, pls. and can i have the mud pie too"
"sorry madam, but the mud pie shall be $6.90 instead of $5.90 if u order the non spicy fish"
"oh is it?" quickly scan the menu but it was not stated tt must be SPICY to enjoy tt discount lor
so i asked her "is it written anywhere?"
"oh madam, its the promotion"
"then change it to spicy then"
"ok madam, anything else"
then dear came into the picture
"but its not stated anywhere tt we MUST order the spicy fish to be entitled for the discount of the mud pie rite?
she tried to explain, but finally gave up and said "sir, i get another waiter to serve u"
"ok"
then another girl came and tried to explain tt its the promotion for spicy to enjoy the mud pie at a discounted price
"u see sir, its stated here "for spicy fish and chips or seafood platter for 2"
"ya, i saw tt, its SPICY fish and chips OR seafood platter for 2. it did not state SPICY seafood platter for 2. it has a "OR" between the 2. so its either this or that"
"but sir, its the promotion"
"i dun see how u can interpret like tt"
"sir, i go check with my manager ok. if its not ok, how? do u still want to order the seafood platter for 2?"
"well, if ur manager says no, i think i would like to speak to him too"

so off the young girl went to get her manager
and u can see SUDDENLY all the waiters and waitresses in the rest "WAKE UP" and were busy talking abt "spicy...blah blah blah, non spicy"
anyway, few mins later, the manager came
"sir, i understand u have some queries"
"ya, we wanted to order the seafood platter for 2 and wanted the mud pie but was told tt must order the spicy one to enjoy the discounted price"
"yes sir. coz we are promoting the spicy food tts why we offered the mud pie at a discounted price"
"yes i do understand. but its not written anywhere in ur menu"
"sir, its here." said the same thing as the girl
and dear repeated himself why its not this way
then the manager sighed and went "sir, tell u what. u are here for dinner and we only want to make our customers happy. if u want the non spicy one, we give u the non spicy and also let u enjoy the mud pie at $5.90. u got to understand the menu was done by our main office in malaysia,the english not tt good. we did highlight to them abt this problem. but they did not listen. so sir, never mind, we will bring this back to our HQ again. hope u r happy sir"
"yes, thanks"
and the manager walked away and dear looked at me

then i told him "we talked so much, later the mud pie not nice to eat lor. waste time and money and effort to argue"
dear told me its not about good to eat or not. its not abt the english. its a matter of principles...........
WA!!!

anyway, the 4 couples sitting on our right and left must be wondering what's the big fuss abt spicy or non spicy
