was just telling dear abt the leave and the course thingy which truly upsetted everybody

apply 1 day leave, pls give 2 weeks in advance
apply long leave, pls give 2 months in advance
wa kao!!
what is this rite?
leave, ur entitlement, yet they made it like, "its subject to my approval"
i dun see the "disruption" to the whole unit if i am only taking 1 day leave
i mean will the whole co close down becoz i take 1 day leave? i dun think so lor. the co can still function with 1 person less lor. if the whole co can close down due to 1 person being on leave, i think the co something wrong leh
they even claimed tt even though the leave has been approved, if something cropped up along the way, if they want u to cancel it, u have to cancel it

never before in my 13 yrs have i ever come across such thingy
they even said tt when u want to buy tickets to go overseas hor, u call them to let them know, they will tell u ok or not ok to purchase ur tickets

i mean why must i stay in or force myself to work with such unreasonable conditions/environment??

i made my stand very clear to my fellow coll
if they ever dare reject my application or made me cancelled my entitlement
i will throw in the letter
then they go answer the mgt when mgt ask me why i want to quit
i will just tell them coz i have no entitlement tts why i quit to enjoy 365 days of leave. dun need ppl's approval.
if they want to run the co in their own ways and rules and regulations, then they better go tell HR to apply the co's policies tt leave is NOT an entitlement to staff rather its subjected to the head of the unit

so what if i quit and move on
does it mean tt the next one will not have such thing??
he said tt i am naive (ya, again)
and if they want to manage us, we better manage them back
she just want to show the mgt tt she can manage us and then mangagement will give her the head post
so as long as we dun listen, she cannot do anything with us she will have to change her ways of handing us

i do think what dear said make sense
but why must i force myself to work in such unfriendly environment?
like she always said "if u think u are better, then u can by all means take over my seat. i gladly let u have it." and "i am not hard up for the job, neither am i hard up for the post"
since day 1 i have said tt i dun need to work until got dragon got lion lor
i just want to do my work and get paid monthly
u can have tt hot seat, i am not hard up for it
and i can truly and loudly tell u or anybody right in their face " I AM NEVER HARD UP FOR ANY JOB"
i can quit and tts it
no big deal to me ( as of now lah. in future, i dare not say)
before i landed myself with this job, i can say tt i was appr 3 months without a job
and no big deal, just tt money is running out, but so be it
=)
so even without this job now, i can still survive........
so dun always used this 2 slogans of urs to threaten me
coz u dun mean what u said but i mean every word tt comes out from my mouth

dear said i dun need to play their games
but i have to understand it so tt i can protect myself
but then again, if i have time, i rather work then to put up a fight
what for rite?
waste time and spoil the working r/s
tts why dear said must handle it professionally, with patience and tactically
which i truly agreed
but it will drained me off of my energy.........

few days ago
i send an email notification of the course approval
she raise her voice at me why i applied the course without her approval
i also not save oil lamp lor
i told her this course was nominated by big boss f de lor
but since she like this say, i dun mind cancelling it
then i tell boss tt she did not approved lor
then she shot back "since its big boss f nominate u go one, i cannot over write him"
wa kao rite?
she wants t loud loud shoot me also must have reason to do so lor
luckily my reply got reason de lor
if not i mati also dun know why

but the poor 2 girls were not as lucky as me
they were also asked the same thingy as me
and they explained tt that courses were applied way before tt magic date
and she dun want to listen to their explaination and insisted tt they "by pass" her
and she "instructed" them to cancel the course citing tt K's course is irrelevant to her work and Q's is just simply "unit strength is weak"

Q was very upset by it
she cried...shed tears
like i said "unit strength weak" is not our problem, its mgt de
so they better get more ppl in lor

and then they said tt they want us to apply for short courses, like the 3-6 months type conducted in poly
recognised and also got cert de
pc raised the issue tt that will be after working hours and its our own time lor
and what if got delayed in work how?
they dun listen
and pc and i were discussing if they dispproved our leave, does it mean tt we can also "disapprove" the leave they choose for us
hehehe
i mean, i won;t want to go for such short courses
sure got assignements, got test, got exams de lor
then eat into my working hours time and private time
who gg to pay for it?
and when my work delayed then how? who answerable?

i mean u can tell me tt i have to mgt my time
but hor, managing my time is within office working hours not after
after is my own time
dun dun play play with me lor

i dun want to be a quitter
neither do i want to be a fighter
but u step into my boundaries, i think i will put up a fight and then
end of the day, i will quit
i mean, why should i want to work in such environment
and moreover i have said before, i dun like his mgt style neither do i like hers
wonder when the new head will come in
will it be better? and end of nitemare?

i know she needs to prove something to the mgt
but hor, pls lor not on my expenses
i do know she has her own set of problem now and standard to meet
but then dun use her high standards on me
very tiring de
she should work ard us not we ard her
she is only ONE person, we ARE many lor
so its the other way round
a good boss should know our weakness and strength and then work ard us to make us better
if cannot breathe..........soon everybody will leave and then how?
she gg to work alone lor
then whats the pt
lagi worst rite
and tt will reflect lagi badly on her

everybody is waiting for july to come
then after *ahem* i also dun know what will happen
and i dun really care
if can, i hope to finish up my contract here
and then move on
afterall, its almost 1 yr le
so fast hor
so "poo" and then 2nd yr will come soon
so might as well hang in there
finishes contract, tts my responsibilities and be liable to myself
=)
at least i know i am no quitter
